We are one of the first companies to develop a telematics tracking and monitoring device for hazardous areas and potentially explosive atmospheres that achieves highest levels of regulatory compliance approvals in a design that lets us future proof the device to incorporate new technology without having to re-certify.
We have applied for ATEX certification for our iTrackz devices. With ATEX certification our device will be approved to work and be used in hazardous areas – critical for many businesses in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, construction and defence sectors. We expect to complete certification by year end.

Machine Learning and AI
For logistics and supply chains, the real value added of ML and AI is in prediction of ETA and the likely condition of goods during the voyage and on arrival. This is a big factor when transporting perishable or volatile goods in containers.
Big data from fleets of containers is the input we need for Machine Learning (ML) to become a very powerful tool. Knowing the ambient temperature and measured product temperature readings our telematics devices provide, we can accurately predict temperature fluctuations using our in-house built thermal analysis models.
By using forecasts and keeping the thermal model running 24/7 in the Cloud, we can provide accurate forecasts of product temperature along the journey. This helps operations centres and route planners to optimise allocated journeys, potentially while en route. We can also send instructions to connected heaters and coolers to adjust the temperature based on what is projected to be the requirement, so saving energy while conserving optimum temperature at all times.
